Our Philosophy

The 'Huang Di Nei Jing' (黄帝内经) is one of the most important and foundational texts in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Within the 'Huang Di Nei Jing,' principles of health, longevity, and wellness are discussed. The text mentions that people can live up to 120 years old. It's important to note that TCM does not provide a guaranteed method for extending human life to a specific age, such as 121 years old. However, while many people share the common goal of living a longer and healthier life, my hope is to inspire people to aspire to that goal through the practices of acupuncture, herbal medicine, diet, and lifestyle adjustments. The reason we can recover from diseases or enhance our health through Chinese Medicine treatment lies in our belief that the human body has an innate ability to heal itself, which is activated through our variety of treatment methods.

Acupuncture (針刺)

Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine that originated in traditional Chinese medicine. It involves inserting thin, sterile needles into specific acupuncture points on the body to stimulate various physiological responses. The goal of acupuncture is to balance the flow of energy or life force, known as 'qi' or 'chi,' believed to traverse pathways (meridians) in the body.

Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation (臉部美容針灸)

Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation refers to the use of acupuncture techniques specifically aimed at promoting facial health and aesthetics. It involves the insertion of fine needles into various points on the face and body to stimulate circulation, improve muscle tone, and promote overall skin health. This practice is often associated with traditional Chinese medicine and is believed by some to enhance the natural beauty of the face by addressing both physical and energetic aspects of health.

Gua sha (刮痧)

Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese healing technique that involves scraping the skin with a smooth-edged instrument to promote blood circulation and encourage healing. The term "gua sha" translates to "scraping sha," where "sha" refers to the toxins in the body that are believed to be relieved through gua sha. After a gua sha session, reddish petechiae or small, raised areas may appear on the skin as a result of the scraping, but these markings typically disappear within several days.

Facial Gua Sha (臉部刮痧)

In addition to body gua sha, there is a variation known as facial gua sha. This technique involves using a gua sha tool on the face to promote circulation, reduce puffiness, and enhance the natural radiance of the skin.

Cupping (拔罐)

Cupping is a traditional Chinese therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to create a suction effect. This therapy is often used for various purposes, including promoting blood flow, relieving pain, and reducing inflammation.

Tui Na (推拿)

Tui Na (pronounced "twee nah") is a form of Chinese manipulative therapy often used in conjunction with acupuncture, herbal medicine, and other traditional Chinese medicine practices. It involves various massage techniques, manipulation, and acupressure to address a wide range of conditions.

MOXIBUSTION (艾灸)

针之不及,药之不到,必灸之

Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese medicine therapy that involves burning dried mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) on or near the surface of the skin at specific acupuncture points. The purpose of moxibustion is to stimulate these points and promote the flow of Qi and blood that flows through the body. According to Huang Di Nei Jing, if neither acupuncture nor herbs work, moxibustion will. Moxibustion can be very beneficial for infertility, Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), Multiple Sclerosis, chronic coughing and other very difficult cases.
